FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
SOURCING
We can help you purchasing the right car, which can be sold outside Europe. We provide this as a service.
Since the United States are strict for importing new cars, we ask you to buy and register the Defender in the US and sending it over to us. We can help with transportation of course, this is around 3k one way.
For importing into the US the car has to be 25 years old and or has to fulfill all the safety regulations, test and procedures which is not known to us.
We can source Defender for you or you can bring your own if you like. We prefer sourcing it ourselves because we then can take complete control of the proces and mandatory steps for making registration possible.
The convertible will be delivered with a German registration and papers, Zulassungbescheinigung Teil 1 & 2. This is needed for registration in Europe.
Also we have a good network for import and transportation within Europe.
It is hard to source a RHD simply because we are charged extra in Europe if we order one. Our advice would be to purchase and register a Defender in the UK before sending it over to us. We can help with the paperwork and this way it would import tax as well.

The price range lies around 155k euro exclusive VAT. This includes the Defender 130 X Dynamic SE itself and the conversion for the pick up.

By getting in touch we can let you know which slot is available and it will take only a deposit of 15k to reserve your slot.
After sending your details we will make an indicative quote and by accepting and transferring the deposit you will get an appointment with our head designer to discuss all the personal wishes.
You will receive various sketches to make sure you will get what you want. The quote will be amended and finalized.
Since the Valiance pickup is a creation of Heritage Customs we always supply the pickup with a selection of our wheels and choice of our decal packs.
By getting in touch we can let you know which slot is available and it will take only a deposit of 15k to reserve your slot.
After sending your details we will make an indicative quote and by accepting and transferring the deposit you will get an appointment with our head designer to discuss all the personal wishes.
You will receive various sketches to make sure you will get what you want. The quote will be amended and finalized.
When the project starts we will invoice you 50% of the total cost and when completed the other 50%
In the meantime you will receive photos and videos of our team and you are always welcome to visit.
When the car is completed we will take it for a testdrive and will make a document for you with all the stages.
Also we help you with export procedures and or registration issues. Please get in touch.
The measurements of the trunk will be approximately:
- 100cm depth from rear door
- 140cm width and
- 120cm width between the arches.
The cargo area will be angular as we expect this to be the most practical with regard to further attachments of gear or materials.
Agreement on exclusion of liability on conversion projects of Heritage Customs is
part of the quote and total agreement, whereas:
1. Client has commissioned Heritage , to execute theconversion of a fixed head
vehicle, owned by Other Party, to a convertible or pickup version;
2. The design, all technical aspects and costs of this conversion have been
specified and clarified to Other Party and Other Party acknowledges and
accepts the full scope thereof;
3. Heritage requires the limitation and exclusion of liability as stated in this quote
Therefore:
By signing this Agreement, Other Party acknowledges and accepts the following:
a. The conversion is initiated and executed on request of the Other Party.
Heritage has solely accepted the commissioning for design and technical
expertise.
b. The basic i.c. structural technology of the vehicle has not been altered.
Alteration as executed by Heritage Customs sees to the construction and
assembling of the rollcage and related work, for alteration to the convertible
top or pickup.
c. Heritage has executed the conversion to its best knowledge and skills but
does not accept any liability connected or related to the conversion project in
the broadest possible interpretation.
d. In case of any defects in the mechanical or structural components related
to the work of Heritage, Other Party will first present the vehicle to Heritage
for inspection.
e. This exclusion of liability applies equally to managers, employees and
service providers of Heritage.
f. This agreement is subject to Dutch Law, however validity of this exclusion
will apply to all foreign law and regulation.
